Speculation About Colombian And Indonesian Gold Projects Kept The Rumour Mills Turning At This Year’s PDAC
If the annual Cordilleran Round-Up Conference held in Vancouver in January focused on the recent exploration successes in Canada’s Yukon Territory, the now concluded Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada Conference in Toronto had a much more international flair. Attracting significant, and in some cases, almost wild speculation were exploration plays in Colombia and Indonesia.
There is something about the big gold potential of Indonesia that seems to catch the imagination of Canadian investors. This time round, approximately thirteen years after the legendary Bre-X gold mining fraud unraveled, another exploration company drilling impressive gold intercepts had many of the pundits spouting off mind boggling potential resource numbers. Yep, the buzz on the floor of the PDAC is that East Asia Minerals could well have a 20 million ounce gold deposit at its Miwah project...
